Sewing with Alex Anderson

Alex Anderson is one of the most sought after instructors and lecturers in the international quilting and sewing industry. She is the author of 30 books in four languages - selling nearly 1 million copies worldwide. Her quilts and instructional tips have also appeared in numerous magazines.

She is the National Spokesperson for BERNINA of America, as well as a designer of her own line of fabrics with P&B Textiles. For 11 years, she served as the popular host of “Simply Quilts” on HGTV. Alex is a founding partner of The Quilt Show.com and The Quilt Life magazine with Ricky Tims.

Alex’s personal mission is not only to share her love of quilting, but to educate and encourage those interested in quilting as clearly and simply as possible.

Class fee includes a Queen Size Quilt Kit featuring many Kaffe Fassett fabrics along with Alex’s pattern; Quilt Basket Rendezvous, a 1300 m spool of Aurifil thread, snacks, beverages and a delicious Weber’s lunch.

Coming Soon: Botanical Garden Quilt

I saw a quilt made up from a new embroidery design called Botanical Garden at BERNINA University and I fell in love with it!!  It was stitched out on beautiful linen.  I showed it to Sylvia and she fell in love too!!  She sent me these pictures of the first design that she has stitched out.  She will be teaching it as an upcoming class.  We have the embroidery designs available now and most of the linen needed for the project. Once all the linen is in stock, we will be kitting it up.  Let us know if you would like one saved for you!
